Sponsorship Terms

By sponsoring OpenSettings, you agree to these Sponsorship Terms, which outline the classification, visibility conditions, data retrieval, and our right to modify or remove sponsorship details.

Sponsors are categorized based on their contribution amount and duration. Each tier has different levels of visibility within OpenSettings:

• Supporter
• Bronze Supporter
• Silver Supporter
• Gold Supporter
• Platinum Supporter
• Diamond Supporter

Exact pricing and details for each tier are outlined on the Become a Sponsor page.

During the sponsorship period, your details (such as logo, brand name) will be listed on the Sponsors page. The data is retrieved as follows:

• Primary retrieval from GitHub's open-settings-configs sponsors.json file.
• If retrieval fails, an embedded snapshot (last known sponsor list) will be used.
• Updates to the sponsor list may happen at any time, with additions or removals as needed.

We reserve the right to remove a sponsor’s listing under the following conditions:

• If the sponsorship duration has ended and no renewal has been made.
• If the sponsor's provided links are harmful, misleading, or violate ethical guidelines.
• If there are legal or policy violations that warrant removal.
• If the sponsor requests removal before the end of their sponsorship.

If a sponsor's listing is removed due to harmful content, refunds will not be provided. Additionally, once sponsorship is confirmed, sponsors cannot cancel or request a refund for the remaining duration of their sponsorship period.

Once a sponsorship is confirmed, it may take a few days to reflect on the Sponsors page. If a new OpenSettings version is released during the sponsorship period, the new sponsors will be included in the embedded snapshot.

OpenSettings is not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of third-party websites linked by sponsors. By clicking on a sponsor link, users acknowledge that they are leaving OpenSettings and assume full responsibility for any interactions with the external site.

OpenSettings reserves the right to update the Sponsorship Terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website, and continued participation in the sponsorship program will signify your acceptance of the revised terms. It is your responsibility to review the Sponsorship Terms periodically to stay informed of any updates.
